Part 1 — As It Was
Every idea begins somewhere. This is where mine took shape — the beginning of As It Was Now And Then.
When I first dreamed of creating this project, I thought a single $50 donation might cover everything — all my stories, memories, and the world I wanted to build. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized I was trying to fit a lifetime into one small box.
So I split it into two parts. Part 1 tells the story of my life — the early years, my time in New Zealand, and the moments that shaped who I am before we ventured across the Tasman to begin again in Australia. The End looks toward what I hope to leave behind.
Part 1 works well on its own because it’s personal — about real people, real places, and a time that’s slowly slipping away. Through these stories I want to preserve a slice of the past so that future generations — family or otherwise — can see what life was like in my corner of the world.
The photos on the opposite page are glimpses of what’s to come — moments and adventures I’ll be sharing in the stories ahead. Much like the pictures shown on the open cover page, they’re pieces of my past waiting to be told in full.
How Each Donation Is Used
- 10 % — To Me: for writing and building this project.
- 10 % — GST: because we have to be doing things properly.
- 30 % — Tax: this can be adjusted because there are costs of running a business.
- 10 % — Donation Account: helps someone truly in need, nominated by the donators.
- 40 % — Share Account: builds the Lifeline Token and passive reward system for the future and I don’t have to pay The Illusionist or The Doctor their 10%.
10 % for me | 50 % for others | 40 % to keep the wheels turning.
It’s not about getting rich — it’s about building something that lives on: something that remembers, rewards, and helps.
