Donation Agreement
A donation on As It Was Now And Then is a one-time contribution made in support of this project.
It is not a purchase, an investment, or a promise of future returns.
1. What your donation does
Depending on the donation you choose, your contribution may:
- unlock access to specific sections of the site (such as Part 1 or The End)
- provide access to related features, including the Ledger
- support the ongoing creation, development, and running of the project
Access is granted to the account used at the time of donation.
2. What a donation is not
A donation:
- does not purchase ownership of content
- does not guarantee future updates or features
- does not create a financial interest or entitlement
- does not represent an obligation beyond access as described
This project is evolving by design.
3. Use and redistribution of funds
Donations are used transparently to support the project and its stated purposes.
Where funds are later redistributed or returned, this is done:
- openly
- in good faith
- with the donator’s consent
Where possible, returns may be issued to the original payment method. Where that is not possible due to provider or time limitations, alternative arrangements may be agreed.
4. Refunds
Unless otherwise stated, donations are non-refundable.
If something has gone genuinely wrong, you’re welcome to get in touch and it will be looked at fairly.
5. Payments
Payments are processed securely by third-party providers such as Stripe.
Payment details are handled by those providers and are not stored on this site.
6. Acceptance
By making a donation, you confirm that:
you are contributing voluntarily and in good faith
you understand what the donation unlocks
you accept the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and related site policies
